  • Problem-Solving Support: Mentors will help you overcome research roadblocks by offering direction and alternatives when you get stuck.

What You Don't Get in LitBeacon?

  • Not a Full-Time Mentorship Program: This is not a daily or continuous hand-holding program, it's designed for independent students who seek periodic expert guidance, not full-time supervision. (see Extended Research Program for an intensive guidance program)
  • No Spoon-feeding: Mentors will not do the work for you, self-motivation and initiative are essential. You are expected to take ownership of your research project.
  • No Project Report Writing Service: While mentors will review and give feedback for your report or poster, they will not sit with you to write project reports, papers, or posters.

If you are seeking a more intensive, hands-on mentorship experience that includes continuous guidance from ideation to final report/poster, you may want to consider enrolling in our Extended Research Program. The Extended Research Program is a semester-long course designed to offer comprehensive, end-to-end research support.
